The Texas Finswimming Association is governed by a Board of Directors.
The officers are as follows. The following officers were approved
and certified by the membership of the Texas Finswimming Association.
They will serve in these positions for the current Olympiad (2000-2004).

Seven Texas finswimmers, along with 3 Board Members of the Texas
Finswimming Association, participated in the 3rd World Scholar-
Athlete Games (WSAG)held at the University of Rhode Island this past
July. The finswimmers participated in finswimming and conventional
swimming events, while representing the United States at the 
international competition. The Texas finswimmers accounted for 4
gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medals, while setting a total of 4 
WSAG records. The top finswimmers were Deer Park's Kristine Kelly,
who won gold medals in the 50 yard Apnea, 50 yard Surface, and 100
yard Surface. Pasadena's Michael Parsons won 1 gold medal in the 50
yard Apnea, and 2 silver medals in the 50 yard Surface and 100 yard
Surface. Kelly's 3 gold medals performances sestablished 3 WSAG
records, along with 3 Institute for International Sport (ISS)
records. In addition, Kelly's performances also established 3
Rhode Island Open records, along with 3 Tootell Aquatics Center
